Greetings to all Vision Camp members and friends,
I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. My family and I recently went on 24-hour lockdown for the rest of this month. Which means LOTS of time together. Please pray for us to spend this time serving and loving each other.
As for Vision Camp 2020, I am writing today to inform everyone that unfortunately we will have to cancel this year's camp in Toronto. Mohawk College officially informed us that their campus will be closed to activities through the summer. In addition, uncertainty around when things would return to normal made planning and preparing nearly impossible. Of course, the safety of everyone is paramount. Given the current conditions, it was hard to have the utmost confidence that we could keep everyone safe.
Let me express my deeply felt gratitude and thanks to everyone for their continuing prayers and support for Vision Camp 2020. That includes Canadian coworkers, UBF World Mission department, coworkers around the world, and of course all of you!
Though we are unable to meet in person, we remain committed to providing an environment to support and encourage all of our next gen leaders. As such, we are open to trying to meet virtually to stay connected and find ways to fellowship together in this surreal environment of social distancing. With this goal in mind, we have provided a link to a short survey below. This survey will help us understand your needs and inform how we might setup a virtual Vision Camp. Virtual Vision Camp might include messages, or seminars, or whatever form you might suggest. This is an opportunity for you to weigh in on shaping this new virtual platform for Vision Camp and its members. We want to make this something that you feel would be beneficial to you and you could feel excited about (even if we can't do so in person!)
If you have not received the link to the survey, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for access.
I look forward to hearing from all of you. Also, please feel free to forward this message to others who may be interested in participating virtually. As always, you can also email me directly with your thoughts or with updates on how you are doing.
Keep calm, pray, and wash your hands!
